Russ developed a disciplined eye for composition, contrast and small details. Today, that observation helps him recognize subtle shifts, moisture patterns and material wear others may overlook.
Russ Freestone brings more than 35 years of real-world experience in construction, renovations, building operations and property management to every Keystone home inspection.

With more than 35 years of hands-on experience in property management, construction and building operations, Russ brings a uniquely well-rounded perspective to every home inspection.
His background allows him to look beyond an isolated defect and consider how a home’s visible systems work together. From subtle structural movement and moisture intrusion to aging mechanical equipment and maintenance priorities, Russ helps buyers, sellers and homeowners understand what matters—and why.
His experience spans visual observation, hands-on renovation work, complex building systems and senior property leadership—giving Keystone clients practical context, not just a checklist.
Russ developed a disciplined eye for composition, contrast and small details. Today, that observation helps him recognize subtle shifts, moisture patterns and material wear others may overlook.
Hands-on work with finishes, structural components and residential systems created a practical understanding of how homes are assembled, repaired—and how problems can develop.
As a Commercial Building Operator, Russ oversaw HVAC, electrical, mechanical and structural systems while earning his SMT and SMA designations through BOMI.
Five years as a Commercial Property Manager and five as a Senior Property Manager refined his ability to assess risk, prioritize repairs, manage capital projects and plan preventative maintenance.
Russ now combines technical expertise, construction knowledge and meticulous attention to detail to deliver thorough, honest and easy-to-understand home inspections.

A home inspection should never leave a client feeling more confused. Russ explains what he observes in straightforward language, helps place concerns in context and identifies sensible next steps when further evaluation is appropriate.
Clients are encouraged to follow along, ask questions and learn about the home. The result is an independent assessment supported by photographs, an electronic report and continued availability for follow-up questions.
Russ’s professional qualifications reflect an ongoing commitment to consistent standards, ethical service and informed inspections.
